Sam Harris on Osama bin Laden

“The men who committed the atrocities of September 11 were certainly not ‘cowards,’ as they were repeatedly described in the Western media, nor were they lunatics in any ordinary sense. They were men of faith—perfect faith, as it turns out—and this, it must finally be acknowledged, is a terrible thing to be.”

So a Westerner acknowledged that to pull a hi jinx of that level, they were not insane in the derogatory sense. Their actions were guided by an absolute clarity and focus.. for the purpose of war.

People of Faith accomplish what they have to.

What if this energy and focus were applied to other fields?

It’s disheartening that science has rejected faith along time ago, it would really speed up the process if the two can intertwine.
