The news media isn’t reporting this yet, but the school in Newtown had a security guard. He saw the shooter enter the school and knew that he was carrying guns. Since the guard knew about the other shooting earlier in the day, he had a pretty good idea what was about to happen. He didn’t stop the gunman at the door, though it would have been easy for him to do so. The guard just let him walk right by and head toward the classroom. After hearing the first shots, the guard could have responded and halted this tragedy, but he didn’t. He sat and watched the feed from the security cameras. Though he was heavily armed and wearing a bulletproof vest, he didn’t lift a finger to save the lives of all those children. What should be done with someone who had an opportunity to stop this massacre, but refused to act? Should he be fired? Should he be jailed? Should he have to explain why? If you’re angry at the (fictional) guard I’ve described, then why would you praise a god who acted in the exact same way?

How could God so anything? He’s not allowed in school buildings. And people shouldn’t get mad at him…they’re the reason he’s not allowed in schools. Maybe you should look at yourself…

It’s Christians who want to force-feed others their beliefs who are not welcome. Spirituality is private, not for showing off how holy you are. Christianity is not the only belief system. This is a dangerous trend and the reason for the importance of separation of church and state.

I don’t have the answers to everything and certainly not this tragic incident, but instead of bashing God, why not look at the current state of America? Its gun laws? Why is it so easy for people to obtain guns in the first place? Why so many shootings? Stop God-bashing and look at the real issues in the country. He or she isn’t god-bashing because he obviously doesn’t believe in god. You should keep that in mind. He or she is just trying to prove to people like you there is no god- because that’s his belief. Why question it? Oh that’s right, yours is self affirming. Oh and you probably need to grease up your irony detector if you- even for a moment- thought that account was used for worship.

God gave us free will as human beings. We have the ability to do either good or evil and God does not make humans commit evil. What happened at the school was pure evil. But if you think about it, you would never know what good is unless you can recognize what is not good and therefore what is evil.
To answer your question, you you seem to at least admit there is a God, but wonder why you should worship him if he allows evil, even though the evil is not of his making correct? You should worship him for all the great things HE does, like creation, like sunsets, like mountains, like the tastes of your favorite food, like the free will he gave us as human beings to possibly make life better or something good come out of such a horrible tragety. Don’t had God for what he is not, but worship God for who he is.

Naaa. Once a man has decided the way he will go and what he will choose to believe, there’s nothing u can do about it. No need to try to explain God to them. They wouldn’t listen. God Himself doesn’t need to explain Himself to them. Wether they love Him or Hate Him or Deny His existence, He still loves them. Nothing will change that. The thing is just to focus on your own life and your love for God. When each person dies, they’ll find out if they are right (in not believing in God and his existence) or wrong. Only problem is if they are wrong, there’s no second chance. Oh well, its the risk they, and everyone of us, have to take

Not saying u r right or wrong. I’m just saying be consistent to what u believe. If u know god doesn’t exist, then it is illogical to write an article about why we should praise this same god who acted just as wrongly. It tends to confuse others. Maybe ur article should have ended this way: ‘…if this kind of thing happened and the god christians say is so good exists, why would he let this happen? Maybe then he doesn’t exist.’
